Reading list for my 9th grade son

In a few months my elder son will be graduating from 9th grade and entering 10th grade. He is a voracious reader. He has read 100’s of fiction books. I am amazed by his ability to focus intensely, and complete a fiction book in one day. I read a lot of nonfiction books. My son never read a non-fiction book. Click here to read the rest.

  1. Thank You.
I feel, that you also need to include some history books.
I would suggest something like “The Rise and Fall of the THIRD REICH” by William L. Shirer. Its an fascinating book about the rise of Hitler in Germany right from his child hood till the end of the World War II.
About India, one can read “The Discovery of India” by Jawaharlal Nehru.
Another one by Jawahar Lal Nehru is “Glimpses of World History”.

I feel reading history is required for all round development.

  2. Good list Jana, thank you for sharing. He is going to be busy for lot of time with this list :).
From GK perspective, one could include magazine like ‘The Economist’ or any other equivalent one…
